It is worth mentioning that we didn't increase or maintain our sizable customer base by ever publicly boasting about who buys what from us.

Some Company History ~ 1991 and on...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our CEO came to the USA in the 'Fall' of 1989 to instal a video "Counter Hijacking Surveillance and Alarm System" onto a Gulfstream G-IV for a client in the UK. This system had an UP and DOWN satellite link, as well as a cellular link when parked on the ground. His company, and the main product was called Airborne Sentinel
For various reasons, outside of Gulfstream's control, the aircraft was delayed for a number of months, and running well into 1990. Back in the UK our CEO had designed various covert surveillance products, both audio and video, as well as R/F links for both.
This background, and waiting for the aircraft to be ready for any installation work, put him with unexpected time on his hands, so during this time he completed his earlier UK designs for making regular color 8mm and VHS Camcorders work in lower lighting conditions, and be infra red sensitive. To these ends he added a focusable INFRA RED laser for night time and low light use.
This became a great boon to Law Enforcement and certain Military Investigative Agencies. However, the company resisted the temptation to sell the modified camcorders to the general public. The belief being that there should be some advantage on the side of the "Good Guys". However, it was not long before the Far East camcorder manufacturers all started offering an "Infrared" version of their current designs. Surprisingly to us they made (and still make) the I/R illumination visible in the 820-880nm part of the spectrum and rendered the recordings in shades of grey, whereas we were in the 940nm plus with a 'no signature' I/R illuminator.
When asked one day, would it work at various time of the evening and night time, our CEO wrote on a White Board in large letters "MIDNIGHT? YES!" The next day we were all using the name "Midniteyes" pronounced "Midnight Eyes" and still use it now 20 odd years later as our 'Brand Name'. The first production unit was the "MIDNITEYES~66" and a large number were sold to State and Federal Investigative Agencies, as well as the Military.
A year later, we added a smaller version called the "Warrant Server" and that had a 4" color monitor mounted to the left of the camcorder on a metal bracket that had a tripod bush. This is the way most small camcorders are now, except of course, the monitor flips out of the side. But back then it was unique.
Amusingly, at the last NATIA Conference where we exhibited, that incidentally had many more "new" exhibitors and less attendees
than in previous years, we showed a new 1080HD Midniteyes camera with many new and innovative features.
To make it stand out, as it is the size of a regular "C" Mount box camera housing, and could be easily missed, it was at the
front of the booth and in a large 'outdoor' waterproof housing with a powerful IR LED array. The pastel shades of color were displayed on a 25" color LCD monitor.
Hardly anyone took any notice of it other than a young salesman from one of the new exhibitors. On the second day, he waited until our CEO left the booth, then came up and explained to us how they had a small IR Laser that would be much better than the LED array in the big housing.
He went on to explain that his boss had invented the idea a couple of years earlier!
Complete Police Supply has, since 1991, designed, built and supplied covert surveillance products EXCLUSIVELY to Law
Enforcement, the Military, and as well as some other manufacturers, and it is from this background that the systems offered
here have evolved.
