Still Bringing Innovative and "Special Surveillance Products" to Law Enforcement since 1990
|
And now a very special addition!
|
Overview.
We were the sole inventors of the "MIDNITEYES" infrared sensitive, color camcorder and color
video camera systems. The first prototype was built by modifying a Hitachi PAL camera system in Ireland back in 1983.
The first Made in America, "MIDNITEYES" infrared sensitive, color camcorders with I/R lasers were built in Savannah Georgia in 1990/1 by us. Initially the system was based upon Canon 8mm units, as it was thought that the smaller video format would produce the most sales. This proved to be wrong, as the argument then was, "Every Courthouse in the USA has a VHS VCR, none have 8mm tape players." So, the system was changed to full size VHS. It proved to be a great success.
The company name was 'Special, Surveillance Products Inc.' This proved to be too much of a mouthful, plus rarely was it all spelt correctly, so, we abbreviated it to SSP Inc., which then got people asking what the initials meant. We even got mail for a Mr. S. Spinc! In 1993, the company moved from Savannah to Claxton, Georgia, and the name was changed to 'Complete Police Supply Ltd.,' as we were now providing more than just covert surveillance products. Large quantities of special wire was being imported from the U.K. and Europe, as these special wires (or anything resembling it) could be NOT found here. This is a reference to the COP-2WIRE, the 2mm diameter 75 Ohm white coax, and the COP-ULTRA2 which is a 2mm diameter, two core shielded, Teflon© coated, silver plated highly flexible wire. Works well with video as well as with audio.
Since 1991, we have been advocates for NATIA, and have exhibited many times, and hope to continue to do so.
In the past we have introduced; "MIDNITEYES" I/R color Camcorders; Video Image Transmission from laptop to laptop via a cell phone; Accelerometers that listen through 18 inches of concrete; stereo units that will listen through more than 24 inches of concrete; the CONTRA VIEWER which was the first reverse peep hole door viewer; the first body wire transmitter that had a built in digital audio recorder; then the first Digital Spread Spectrum Frequency Hopping Body Wire system with an in-built Digital Recorder; the first Digital Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum body wire with a matching repeater and multiple receivers if required; various Infrared illuminators with no human eye signature and that cannot be seen by second and third generation night vision; sub miniature remote head color cameras on a 5 mm diameter flexible umbilical cord; cell phone jammers; and GPS jammers. Most, if not all of the above items, HAVE SUBSEQUENTLY been copied. Hesitating to say ripped off.
